Heart We Will Forget Him
I love Emily Dickinson. She had a way with words and I believe that she was way ahead of her time. This is one of my favorite poems by her. I love the flow of this poem and how I am still able to relate to it to this day. Enjoy.
Heart, we will forget him,
You and I tonight!
You must forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.
When you have done pray tell me,
then I, my thoughts will dim.
Haste! 'lest while you're lagging
I may remember him!
Emily Dickinson (December 1830- May 1886)
